KANEBUN Tea Farm

Mountain Area

Savor a delightful cup of tea in Yoshiwara while basking in beautiful unspoiled nature!

KANEBUN Tea Farm, located in Yoshiwara District, is about a 15-minute drive from central Shimizu ward. This picturesque farm sits on the steep hillside of a 500-meter high mountain and commands magnificent views of rolling tea fields, Mt. Fuji, and the interlocking mountain ranges. The grounds are also home to the farm’s symbolic cedar tree, Yoshiwara Ipponsugi, which is designated as a Shizuoka City natural monument. This lone tree marks the highest point of the tea farm and is both a naturally stunning and spiritually inspiring sight.

KANEBUN Tea Cafe, which is located on-site next to the farmer’s house, is an ideal spot to taste the rich umami and savory flavors of Yoshiwara tea leaves. The cafe’s warm wooden interior perfectly complements the mountainous scenery just beyond its windows.

Learn how to make the perfect cup of tea using hand-picked tea leaves and chat with the farmer for insights into the tea industry. Pair the exquisite tea with seasonal sweets, such as sweet-boiled chestnuts and caramel dacquoise, or try more unique flavors, such as tea leaves with Shirasu baby sardines!

The cafe’s authentic tea offerings, friendly owner, and views of Mt.Fuji make for an unforgettable experience.
