Ochanoma Tamuranouen

River Area

We have created an open-air tea terrace using local cypress from the Oigawa River basin. This is the place where the previous generation and the generation before cultivating the mountain into a tea plantation. I remember that when I was a child, I would sometimes help out in the fields for a break, and it was a blissful time for me. We asked the Matsuba Tatami mat store to make tatami mats and created a tatami room and a porch for lounging around barefoot.

The foundation work was done by Kawane and Shimada carpenters, and the carpentry work was done by Kawane carpenters, all from Shizuoka. The tea served here changes with the seasons and is served randomly with two types of tea: single-origin sencha, kocha, and matcha. Please enjoy this exquisite tea time with tea sweets.

After pre-registering, please pay and register at the reception area. When you receive your experience set, you will be given access details to the terrace. Please enjoy the experience within the time frame and return the experience set at the same location as the reception desk.
