Mori no Akaoni

Mountain Area

Mori no Akaoni is a farmer's cafe run by local tea farmers in the Okushizu Okawa district.

Our local sencha or Japanese black tea is paired with “today’s sweets” homemade by the owner. We offer dishes depending on the seasons, including our "Red Demon Rice" (Akaoni Gohan) and tea-kneaded pizza. We want you to experience our "eating tea" concept.

Pitaka Viewpoint lies a 15-minute walk from our cafe, and if you're lucky, you'll be able to see the black kites flying throughout the valley!

Access

  • 60 minutes by car from JR Shizuoka Station.
  • Using the Shizutetsu private bus (reservation required), it's a 20-minute walk from the Yunoshima bus stop.
※ If you call us from the bus stop, we can pick you up.
